This is a full-time, 12-month contract position based on-site at our Windsor Tepperman’s location, offering an immediate opportunity to join our team and fill a current vacancy.

Overview:
Reporting to the Associate Credit Manager, the Credit Representative will play a vital role in supporting both our customers and our stores. Reporting to the Manager, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service by responding to customer inquiries, handling account adjustments, and managing collections with professionalism and care. You will also support sales initiatives by promoting credit products, securing payment commitments, and ensuring accounts are managed according to company policies. This role requires a balance of customer service, problem-solving, and decision-making, making it an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys both people-focused and detail-driven work.
Roles & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Associate Credit Manager, the Credit Representative is responsible for:
- Providing excellent service to internal and external customers.
- Responding to all Tepperman’s account inquiries (in-store, remote, online, telephone etc.).
- Supporting all Tepperman’s locations by handling all account inquiry calls, completing all account adjustments, and assigned collection calls.
- Selling credit products, credit limits and current sales promotions offered.
- Securing promises to pay, following up for payment receipt and updating files relevant to telephone conversations and actions taken.
- Managing account disputes and ensuring remedies are completed in a timely manner
- Using various techniques to locate customers.
- In all cases, granting credit in accordance with the established credit policy of N. Tepperman Ltd.
- Escalating problematic accounts to the Supervisor with a recommendation for further action.
Qualifications
- A driven personality with a strong determination to succeed.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with great organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to effectively solve problems, make decisions under pressure and communicate the decisions to customers.
- Call centre experience would be an asset.
