Job title: Coordinator (Continuing Education)

Description

Under the authority of the Director of Continuing Education & Community Services, the Continuing Education Coordinator – Academics is responsible for all aspects of credit course and program management (AEC, DEC and RAC services) in Continuing Education.

More Specifically, But Not Limited To, The Coordinator

Manages the implementation and evaluation of educational programs, services and activities under his/her responsibility; Ensures that College, Departmental and program objectives, standards and policies are respected, evaluating them and ensuring that the requirements imposed by the authorities and competent bodies are applied; Ensures the day-to-day operations of all programs, services and courses under their responsibility; Responsible for budgeting, planning, tracking and meeting the financial results and expectations of the credit programs under their responsibility; Ensures adequate hiring and onboarding of faculty in collaboration with Human Resources and in support by the staff members under their authority; Assesses, recommends and coordinates the revision and development of academic programs, services and curriculum for the changing market; Attends and represents Continuing Education internally and externally, in committees, Academic Council, department meetings, industrial meetings, etc. Drafts project proposals and charters, consolidates and creates partnerships to promote their deployment; Ensures and coordinates the activities of all Program Advisory Committees under their responsibility; Chairs relevant Continuing Education Committees; Manages professionals and support staff in the attainment of results and in the performance of their pedagogical, administrative or other tasks; Ensures the management of the student files by coordinating the professionals under their responsibility; Liaises with labour-market partners and other collaborators in various fields of professional development, assessment, recognition, etc. Seeks new sources of funding, notably by responding to invitations for projects, developing new partnerships, projects and programs; Coordinates recruitment and promotional activities for Continuing Education AECs, DECs, and RAC services, which includes participation in promotional events and educational fairs, publications and promotional materials and advertising; Is responsible for managing the credit program offer and ensuring that the Continuing Education website is updated, and providing accurate information regarding course offerings, student policies, fees and tuition; Facilitates meetings and coordinates the work of various working groups (support and professional staff, work teams, Cont. Ed. committees); Ensures the development and updating of policies, processes, procedures, tools, guides and forms for optimal operation.

Other related responsibilities as requested by the Dean of Continuing Education & Community Services.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (35 hours a week)

Classification: Coordinator of Service (C-06)

Salary: $90,172 - $120,225

Qualifications: Established in accordance with provisions of Article 7-2.00 of the Policy for Management Personnel.***

Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field; Five (5) years of pertinent management experience, ideally in a leadership role in post-secondary academic administration and in business development; Demonstrated abilities to develop and maintain successful business relationships and lead staff; Superior planning, prioritizing, project management and problem-solving abilities; Capacity to evaluate and innovate in academic programs; Excellent communications skills in English and French (written and spoken); Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse constituencies in a multicultural context. Exceptionally, a DEC and additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of the preferred Bachelor's Degree
