Our Environment & Sustainability (E&S) Team
Our Environment & Sustainability team in the Americas includes professionals within Canada and the U.S. with a broad range of technical skills and experience. The types of projects executed by this team include conventional and low carbon energy projects, various energy transition projects (solar, wind, hydrogen), coastal LNG facilities, industrial processing plants, tailings and water dams, water supply projects, and regulatory support.
The Client Partner – Environment & Sustainability (E&S) opening is a full-time position, offering a flexible operating base within Worley Consulting, focused on driving client growth. The qualified individual will have excellent communication skills and who is eager to work with and support a group of dynamic clients and teams and contribute to the growth of our business unit.
This position is based in Calgary, AB and working a hybrid schedule.
Overall Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

Promote a culture of zero harm within the business.

Drive the E&S business development across North America supporting the business needs, by working with our client portfolio directors, project managers and technical leads to grow our existing client base and pursue new clients.

Develop and grow the E&S business in Canada, targeting Worley’s key hubs in Calgary and Vancouver, and additionally providing support and
collaboration to colleagues and clients in the US.

Support the development and implementation of E&S strategies that are consistent with the E&S strategic growth plans.
-
Developing business, winning work and providing support to large bid teams, including presentations, negotiations, proposal preparation including, developing and reviewing engineering cost estimates and schedules.

Participating actively and effectively in business developments such as presentations, negotiations, proposal preparation/writing etc.

Leadership including mentoring and coaching to staff on client development.

Direct and support E&S pursuits throughout Canada and the US, with a willingness to travel as needed for short term duration.

International travel may be required.

Integrate with multi-discipline engineering and geoscience professionals within Worley.

Prepare industry and client intelligence reports and forecasts and present to E&S Service Line management as required.

Present new opportunities to the E&S team.

Direct within and as part of an integrated delivery team within our business, comprising of other engineering disciplines, professional environmental scientists, project delivery and project support staff on existing and new Worley Consulting/Worley MMM projects.
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited institution plus appropriate continuing education in engineering, sciences, or equivalent.
- A minimum of 20 years of related experience in environmental services
- Proven track record of developing business, winning work and providing support to large bid teams, preparing proposals and developing engineering and capital cost estimates.
- Demonstrate the ability to direct a multi-discipline team in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated history of effective client engagement, relationships and management.
- A demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, excellent verbal and written communication skills in English with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Self-starter, flexible, willing and able to work on a wide variety of tasks and to coordinate staff, previous successful experience in a team leadership role is an asset.
- Strong level of commercial acumen, including contract review and management
- Working knowledge of industry standard business support systems, i.e. project planning packages, cost management systems, ISO9001 quality management systems is considered an asset.
