About the role
Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Service Engineer based out of our depot in Portlaoise.
You’ll be mechanical or electrical specialist who will be supporting on our customer site with the maintenance and repair of power and energy solutions.
This will be a field based and will require travel. Our Service Engineers must be able to visit the depot, and work from there when required.

What You’ll Do
Ensure the completion of repairs and overhauls on time, to standard, and within agreed budgets for both specific repairs and overall department budgets. Ensure adherence to safety practices and quality standards. Carry out the total maintenance of equipment. Maintain the stock levels of materials required and ensure that the appropriate tools are in place and ready for use. Report and document component failures. Contribute to optimum team performance and capability by providing quality work to maintain and enhance the reliability of equipment. Assist, support, and train service crew. Test and evaluate refurbished and repaired generators and prepare test reports as per ISO standards.
You’ll Have The Following Skills And Experience
Educated to NVQ level 6 (or equivalent) in an engineering/mechanical subject (can include apprenticeship). Experience servicing and repairing large engines (generators, HGV, plant equipment, agricultural machinery). Good organisational and communication skills. Good level of PC literacy, including basic MS Office applications. Well-organised and capable of keeping a vehicle to GSCS standards.
