Production Team Leader

High Prairie, Alberta

We’re looking for a Production Team Leader to join our High Prairie OSB Division, located in High Prairie, Alberta. Our mill is undergoing an exciting major rebuild and modernization including the commissioning of a new continuous press which will make us the most modern mill in North America.

Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

  • Completion of grade 12.

  • Completion of post-secondary education and/or a supervisory or leadership certificate is an asset.

  • 3 – 5 years' experience within a manufacturing setting with wood products manufacturing preferred.

  • 2 – 3 years' experience leading a team.

  • Strong organization and planning skills.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

In this role you will:

  • Work collaboratively across teams.

  • Troubleshoot and find solutions as needed.

  • Optimize productivity and recovery.

  • Lead by example and set the bar for those around you by inspiring, coaching and developing your team.

  • Work with your team to meet production targets, budgets and managing staffing levels.

  • Identify and report on any maintenance and safety issues.

  • Ensure work is done safely and according to safety procedures.

  • You'll earn a competitive salary based on your skills and experience, plus an additional northern allowance. The expected base salary range for this position is $80,250 - $107,000 per year.

  • You'll earn an additional northern allowance on top of your base pay.

  • You’ll be eligible to participate in Tolko’s bonus program.

  • Youll be eligible for excellent benefits and access to our retirement plan.

  • You may also be eligible for relocation support including community connectionsso you can live (and play) where you work.

  • Youll be supported in continued development through on the job and classroom training and reimbursement of tuition and membership fees.
