Customer service duties like welcome, check identification, and guide visitors

Manage access control Conduct foot patrols to identify potential risks Inspect security equipment and report any maintenance needs Address incidents, provide first aid, and coordinate with emergency teams Write incident reports and communicate security concerns Monitor the hotel entrance and maintain a visible security presence. Identify and remove unauthorized or disruptive individuals in a professional manner. Use handcuffs only as a last resort when escorting individuals off-site.

Ensure continuous lobby coverage

Limit cellphone use to required hourly check-ins with Garda Control; headphones/earbuds are not permitted during shifts.

Qualifications for Hotel Security Guard

Be authorized to work in Canada

Hold a valid BC security license Advanced Security Training (AST) Certificate - Required First aid certification - an asset  Exceptional customer service skills Minimum 6 months of security experience Strong report writing and technology skills Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus Physically able to stand, patrol and walk for extended periods Alert, detail-oriented, with strong situational awareness Proficient in basic phone & computer skills
