What you'll be doing:

  • Develop, implement, and manage group benefits, retirement savings, and perks programs aligned with Lightspeed's global benefits strategy.
  • Lead the annual benefits renewal, and support with the open enrollment process.
  • Oversee the selection and management of vendors for benefits and retirement plans, ensuring they meet performance and service expectations.
  • Support with administration and continuous improvement of leave of absence programs, including but not limited to short- and long-term disability, parental leave, and other leave types across Canada, and the U.S.
  • Develop and track key metrics to evaluate program effectiveness and identify trends.
  • Collaborate with global brokers to assess market trends and align programs with the company's global strategy.
  • Work closely with HRIS, payroll, business partners, and other stakeholders to identify system needs, troubleshoot issues, and optimize data flow and accessibility.
  • Provide support to employees and HR teams on escalated issues, resolving complex situations.

What you need to bring:

We're a team of 7 people in Total Rewards located in Canada. If you're excited about making an impact within a dynamic and growing technology company, this is the role for you!

We're looking for a candidate who has experience with the following:

  • Strong experience managing benefits programs.
  • In-depth knowledge of employee benefits programs in Canada and the U.S.
  • Experience in vendor and broker management, including the RFP process.
  • Expertise in leaves management (e.g., disability, parental leave).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal guidance.
  • Intermediate experience with Excel.
  • A passion for building and optimizing processes, with a focus on efficiency and innovation.
  • Strong and effective verbal and written communication in English. As a global company with employees and clients outside of Quebec, fluency in English as a working language is required for this position.

Even better if you have, but not necessary:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced tech environment.
  • Experience with benefits programs in the EMEA and APAC regions.
