Email Marketing & Automation Coordinator
About the role
The Email Marketing & Automation Coordinator is responsible for executing email marketing campaigns and supporting marketing automation activities across B2B and B2C programs. The role ensures accurate and compliant deployment of email communications by performing audience segmentation, QA and testing, and maintaining campaign data within established processes and standards.
Working under the direction of the Senior Manager, Marketing Automation, the Coordinator collaborates with internal partners to prepare campaign content, uphold regulatory and brand requirements, monitor campaign performance, and maintain documentation related to email marketing operations. The role contributes to the effective and efficient delivery of email communications within the Salesforce ecosystem and supports the consistent application of marketing processes across the organization.
Email Marketing
- Assist with the day-to-day execution and deployment of email marketing campaigns
- Support email marketing initiatives using industry best practices across B2C and B2B programs
- Help maintain the email campaign calendar and coordinate communication schedules
- Coordinate with the creative team, project leads, and content writers to update email designs, subject lines, and campaign copy
- Perform QA and testing prior to deployment to ensure CASL compliance and accuracy in content, formatting, and personalized email content
- Assist with list management, segmentation and data validation
- Assist in preparing and publishing analytics reports to monitor campaign performance and identify opportunities for improvement
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to email delivery
- Create or update surveys as needed
- Tracking campaign deliverables
General Support
- Support the implementation of marketing initiatives aligned with annual marketing objectives
- Provide general administrative and operational support to the marketing team as needed
- Monitor and help manage shared marketing inboxes
Marketing Processes and Standards
- Follow established marketing standards and processes for campaign deployment
- Help maintain and update internal documentation related to email marketing processes
- Contribute ideas for improving email marketing processes, campaign execution, and operational efficiency
Internal and External Communications
- Ensure all communications are clear, consistent, and follow brand standards
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and other departments for campaigns
What You Bring To The Team
- 1–2 years of experience in email marketing, digital marketing, marketing operations, or a related role
- Hands on experience working with email marketing platforms (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Klaviyo, HubSpot, Mailchimp or similar), with a preference for Salesforce Marketing Cloud
- Experience supporting or executing email marketing campaigns, including segmentation, list management, testing, and reporting
- Experience performing campaign QA and testing with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience running and optimizing large scale marketing campaigns
- Experience using survey tools, including integration with email and landing pages, and analyzing complex results
- Experience working in a fast paced environment while managing multiple priorities and tight deadlines
- Experience collaborating with cross functional teams and engaging with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- Strong understanding of email marketing best practices, including accessibility, mobile responsiveness, and deliverability
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS (required); basic knowledge of SQL
- AMPScript knowledge considered an asset
- Proficiency in Excel and strong data handling skills
- Solid understanding of email marketing regulations and privacy requirements, including CASL and PIPEDA
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with an interest in using data to inform marketing decisions
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Strong planning, time management, and multitasking abilities
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in a team oriented environment
- Customer focused mindset with strong service orientation
- Self driven, motivated, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Demonstrates integrity, accountability, and the ability to maintain confidentiality
- Interest in continuous learning, particularly in marketing technology and the Salesforce ecosystem
- University Degree in marketing, communications, computer science or related field
