Your Role as an Arborist at TNT Tree Service Ltd.: In this hands-on position, you will get the chance to put your arboricultural knowledge to work everyday pruning and removing trees, performing planting and plant health care services. You will have the opportunity to share your skills and knowledge by mentoring the apprentices on your team. You’ll work in diverse environments, constantly adjusting to the needs of each project while maintaining the highest quality standards. Whether you’re high in the canopy or working on the ground, your focus on safety, professionalism, and quality will help ensure that every job runs smoothly. As a key team member, you’ll ensure all safety protocols are followed, work efficiently, and provide top-tier service to our clients. What We’re Looking For: Experience & Passion: 2+ years of experience in tree care, with a deep love for trees and all things arboriculture. A desire to learn and grow as an arborist Positive attitude - you appreciate how rewarding it is, getting to climb trees and live among the limbs, getting paid for it is also a pretty sweet perk!

Skills & Certifications: ISA Certification (or ability to obtain). Valid Full Class 5 Driver's License (with ability to obtain Class 3 with air brakes). Pesticide Applicator License is an asset. Proficiency with chainsaws, climbing gear, and other tree care tools. Expertise in pruning and removing trees of all sizes. Ability to operate aerial lifts and/or perform rope-and-saddle climbing techniques. Team Player: You’ll need to collaborate closely with your coworkers to ensure jobs are completed safely and efficiently. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are a must. Physical Stamina: This role requires physical work, including lifting, climbing, and working in all weather conditions. A love for the outdoors and staying active is essential. Your Day-to-Day at TNT Tree Service Ltd.:

1. Safety First: As an advocate for safety, you will help maintain a culture that ensures all team members are equipped with the right PPE, understand the task at hand, and work to keep each job site safe.
2. Team Collaboration: You will have the ability to use both your arboricultural and people skills along with your team to collaborate to manage everything from small stump grindings to large, technical removals. We’re all in this together!
3. Customer Service: We pride ourselves on our 5 star service and your attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction will drive this. You will be front and centre educating and answering our customers' questions and alleviating concerns. . This will give you ample opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge,skill and the professionalism with which we treat every tree we care for.
4. Problem Solving: You will be empowered and equipped to address any challenges head-on, ensuring operations continue smoothly without disruptions.

Work Life at TNT Tree Service Ltd.: Hours: Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work based on project needs. Expect around 10-hour shifts, with the flexibility to adjust as needed during peak seasons. Location: Rooted in South Winnipeg – right in the heart of the green action. Benefits: Cost-shared benefits after 1 season of employment, with PPE (other than boots) provided from day one. After 6 months, we also offer boot and saw pants allowances. Training: We offer opportunities to upgrade and improve your skills through both our in house training and external events. Some past events include formal training from Arboriculture Canada, attendance at local seminars as well as team trips to the Tree Care Industry Expo and ISA conferences. Compensation: Competitive hourly rate of $22-35 based on experience and qualifications. Overtime pay is available for additional hours worked.
