About the role

BIS Safety Software is a fast-paced, high-growth organization providing leading software for the safety industry. We are expanding our team and are seeking a full-time Social Media Specialist who brings a passion for storytelling, a strong design eye, and the ability to create engaging content at scale. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, comfortable using AI tools, and thrives in fast-moving, creative environments.

Founded in 2006, BIS is proudly headquartered in Sherwood Park, Alberta. We have developed a world class software solution by emphasizing client relationships and continuous innovation, and we are looking to continue our growth across North America and around the world.

You’ll be responsible for turning our existing content, spotlights, events, podcasts, and product launches into high-volume, attention-grabbing daily posts across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube. This role is all about building engagement, growing our audience, and helping shape how we show up online particularly to safety managers and industry professionals.

This is an in-person role in Sherwood Park, AB

In this role, you'll be expected to:

  • Create and publish 20 to 30 daily social media posts across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube using repurposed content
  • Design compelling visuals using tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar platforms
  • Build and maintain a content roadmap aligned with product launches, events, and campaign timelines
  • Engage with our online communities by responding to comments and joining relevant conversations and groups
  • Repurpose long-form content like podcasts, blogs, and videos into bite-sized, platform-friendly posts
  • Monitor content performance using key metrics like engagement, reach, clicks, and conversions
  • Report monthly on results and provide actionable insights to improve strategy and performance
  • Explore new tools and technologies, including AI platforms, to support content creation, scheduling, and analytics

  • Have a strong eye for storytelling and trends, knowing what captures attention and drives interaction
  • Have hands-on experience running social media for a brand, agency, or client
  • Are tech-savvy, open to AI, and excited about using new tools to improve content workflows
  • Work well independently, but love being part of a collaborative, creative team
  • Are organized and self-motivated, with the ability to juggle multiple projects
  • Have strong design instincts and are comfortable using creative tools

Bonus points if you have:

  • Video editing skills for creating short clips, teasers, or highlight reels
  • Experience managing paid ad campaigns or tracking their performance
  • Familiarity with Sprout Social or similar scheduling and analytics tools
  • Interest in leveraging AI-powered tools for content planning, repurposing, or social listening
