Software Developer - Senior (RQ00520) Supply Ontario | Metro Hall, 55 John Street, Toronto, Canada (Hybrid)
Contract: March 16, 2026 – September 15, 2026 (132 business days, 6-month extension possible)
About The Role We are looking for a highly skilled Senior ABAP Developer who can deliver complex RICEFW objects across SAP S/4HANA and ECC environments with full SDLC ownership. Our ideal candidate has 10+ years of hands-on ABAP expertise (including ABAP Objects, 7.4/7.5 syntax), proven mentoring capabilities, and deep integration experience with modern tools like Eclipse ADT, Business Application Studio, and Gitlab. They will excel in every phase—from requirements gathering to technical specifications, unit testing, knowledge transfer, and sustainment documentation—translating business needs into robust, scalable SAP solutions.
Collaborating with system integrators, developers, and stakeholders, the developer must provide subject matter expertise during design reviews and functional specifications while mentoring teams on best practices. The ideal candidate demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of SAP modules (FI, CO, FM, GM, TRM, MM, SD), integration methods (IDocs, OData/REST/SOAP APIs), Fiori development, CDS views, RAP model, and quality assurance tools. They must execute at an expert level, ensuring code quality, compliance, and operational sustainability without compromising delivery timelines.
Reporting to project leadership, this role drives Supply Ontario's SAP transformation through technical excellence and team upskilling.
What You'll Do
Manage full SDLC for RICEFW development objects with comprehensive documentation and knowledge transfer.
Must Haves
- 10+ years hands-on ABAP Development (ABAP Objects, 7.4/7.5 syntax) across full RICEFW spectrum in SAP S/4HANA/ECC.
- 10+ years managing full SDLC including comprehensive documentation and knowledge transfer.
- 10+ years providing SME input during requirements gathering, design, functional specs, and review feedback.
- 10+ years mentoring/coaching developers on RICEFW/tools (Business Application Studio, Eclipse ADT, Gitlab).
Qualifications And Experience
- Post-secondary in computer science (development certification asset).
- Experience with SAP Solution Manager (Project/Change/Service Request/Incident), Jira, HPQC.
- Agile/Waterfall methodologies.
Technical Capabilities
- Eclipse ADT/SAPGUI development.
- SAP S/4HANA/ECC integration (IDocs, OData/REST/SOAP APIs); CI iFlows/AIF assets.
- Gateway Service Builder (SEGW), CDS views, RAP model.
- Fiori development; BAS/Gitlab assets.
- Reports via Embedded Analytics/SAP Analytics Cloud.
- Enhancements (BADi, Customer Exits, BTEs, explicit/implicit spots).
- SAP Adobe forms, SAP Workflow.
- ABAP Test Cockpit/Code Inspector; QA/code reviews.
- SAP modules: FI/CO/FM/GM/TRM/MM/SD (RE/PM/HCM assets).
Deliverables
- Functional specification review feedback.
- Technical specs/unit testing documentation for all objects.
- Run procedures for development objects.
- Knowledge transfer documentation/presentations.
- Development object status updates.
- Object builds in respective systems.
- Sustainment processes/procedures documentation.
- Defect remediation documentation updates.
- System integrator documentation review feedback.
- ABAP Test Cockpit/Code Inspector configuration; code/QA review feedback.

- Hours: 7.25 hours per day (5 days)
