About Us
DaveDev Corp is a U.S.-based software consultancy headquartered in Orlando, Florida. We specialize in designing, building, and maintaining cloud-native systems for innovative technology companies. Today, we're supporting the cloud architecture and platform initiatives of a major wearable-tech organization as they build the next generation of worker-safety technology.
We're looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with expert-level experience in Terraform, Kubernetes, AWS, and GCP, along with strong communication skills and the ability to guide developers effectively. This role involves collaborating closely with clients, shaping infrastructure direction, mentoring mid-level engineers, and helping design and ship production systems. If you thrive in a high-trust, high-ownership environment, this role is a great fit.
Responsibilities (DevOps & Leadership Focused):
- Architect, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure using Terraform, Kubernetes, and AWS/GCP.
- Own our CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) and improve delivery workflows.
- Communicate directly with client stakeholders to clarify requirements, present solutions, and provide progress updates.
- Lead and mentor developers, ensuring high-quality engineering practices and smooth execution of infrastructure work.
- Work side-by-side with backend developers to design scalable, reliable service architectures.
- Troubleshoot production issues across distributed systems and drive root-cause analyses.
- Plan for security, networking, cost optimization, and reliability across cloud environments.
- Document architecture decisions, processes, diagrams, and runbooks.
Tech Stack:
Infrastructure & DevOps
- Terraform
- Kubernetes (EKS/GKE)
- Docker
- GitHub Actions
- AWS + GCP hybrid Backend
Backend:
- Node.js / TypeScript
- Serverless (Lambda, Cloud Run, Vercel) Frontend
Frontend:
- React, Next.js, TailwindCSS Data
Data:
- PostgreSQL
- ClickHouse (nice to have)
Requirements
- 5+ years of DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Senior Full-Stack experience with strong infra ownership.
- Deep expertise in Terraform and Kubernetes (production-level, multi-env).
- Strong hands-on experience across AWS and GCP.
- Solid TypeScript/Node fundamentals (enough to support backend devs).
- Strong communication skills — must be comfortable speaking with clients, clarifying requirements, and representing technical decisions.
- Experience mentoring or managing developers in a collaborative environment.
- Strong grasp of cloud networking, IAM, CI/CD, containers, and infrastructure security.
- Experience with SQL databases; PostgreSQL required, ClickHouse a plus.
- Able to work Eastern Timezone core hours.
- Canada-based applicants preferred (but open to others who can work ET hours).
Benefits
- Fully remote
- $10,000–$14,000 CAD monthly
- Flexible working hours (within ET core hours)
- Full-time contract role
