About the role
Job Summary Lead and coordinate machining, metal forming and erection teams to deliver components that meet quality and production targets. Ensure safe, efficient operations through hands-on supervision, machine setup, and process control. Number of Positions 1 Main Duties Supervise and coordinate daily activities of machining, metal forming and erection crews to meet production schedules and quality standards. Interpret engineering drawings and specifications, plan workflows, and set up machines and tooling for production runs. Monitor and adjust machine operations, including CNC and conventional equipment, to maintain dimensional accuracy and productivity. Implement and enforce workplace health and safety procedures, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Train, mentor and evaluate tradespersons and operators, assign tasks, and manage workload distribution. Coordinate preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs with maintenance teams to minimize equipment downtime. Requirements Completion of a relevant trade certificate, diploma, or equivalent combination of training and experience in machining, metal forming, or a related trade. Several years of hands-on experience in machining and metal forming operations, including prior supervisory or lead responsibilities. Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings and manufacturing specifications. Working knowledge of CNC and conventional machine tools, press brakes, welding and fabrication processes. Familiarity with quality measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers and gauges, and experience with quality assurance practices. Strong communication skills, basic computer literacy for production documentation, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
