Job Description What is the opportunity? The RBC Dominion Securities Ancaster branch is currently seeking an Associate to join a Chairman’s Council Team specialized in providing wealth management services.
You will assist by helping to deepen the relationships with existing clients through ongoing, efficient support to both the clients and the advisory team.
What will you do? Client Service
- Assists with upholding Advisory team’s business plan, client service plan, and review schedule.
- Update client info in the team’s contact management system. Maintain a record of client details, interactions, meeting notes, and identified opportunities for follow up.
- Coordinate meetings and events for Advisors with clients and prospects – help establish meeting agenda; assemble documents, key notes, and discussion points for advisory team; execute post-meeting work or ensure it is delegated to the appropriate person.
- Participate in client meetings as directed by advisory team.
- Provide proactive client service with a focus on problem resolution and attention to details. Liaise with various departments for execution, where necessary.
- Assist the Advisory team with client onboarding.
Account Administration
- Respond to general client inquiries (account transactions, requests for tax receipts, account reporting, etc.).
- Maintain existing client accounts and identify opportunities to contact clients: manage timelines and key dates for accounts, facilitate registered account transactions, monitor maturing issues, dividends, credit/debit balances, tax losses, fees, etc.
- Ensure accurate and timely updates of all necessary documentation in compliance with internal controls and industry regulatory requirements (account opening, KYC updates, re-orgs, FATCA, W8-BEN, etc.).
- Maintain complete and up-to-date client files within appropriate systems.
- Manage all tax communication / work with clients and accountants.
Wealth Management Support
- Support Advisory team and client through the wealth management process. Help gather relevant info, documents, and questionnaires. Enter data into specific applications (e.g., myGPS). Track progress and follow up.
- Maintain audit of wealth management activities and priorities to inform new opportunities with clients.
- Coordinate activities with wealth management and insurance specialists and in-branch consultants: schedule, track progress, follow up.
- Liaise with branch management team for updates on, and progress with, wealth management initiatives.
What do you need to succeed? Must Have
- Canadian Securities Course (CSC) and Conduct and Practices Handbook Course (CPH)
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills
- Meticulous attention to detail and excellent time management skills
- Demonstrated skills in providing world-class client service that will come across as professional, warm, and friendly to our clients
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of RBC Dominion Securities’ systems and procedures, an asset
- CSC & CPH
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in securities industry
- Enthusiastic, committed, and entrepreneurial spirit
