Position: Intermediate Accountant

NuWave Research Inc. is seeking anIntermediate Accountantto support the financial operations of our growing organization. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate financial records while contributing tojob costing, forecasting, cash flow reporting, and month‑end close activities.

The Intermediate Accountant combines strong accounting fundamentals with hands‑on operational exposure, helping ensure reliable financial information while supporting the ongoing development and improvement of accounting processes. This position ison‑site at our Burnaby locationand offers the opportunity to grow alongside an innovative, technology‑driven company.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and perform full‑cycle accounting activities, includingaccounts payable, accounts receivable, and journal entries
• Prepare and reconcile monthlybalance sheet and income statement accounts, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely close
• Supportmonth‑end and year‑end closeprocesses, including reconciliations, cost analysis, and preparation of supporting schedules
• Assist withjob costing and project accountingto support operational insight and financial reporting
• Contribute tofinancial forecasting and budgeting, including updating actuals and preparing supporting schedules
• Prepare and maintainweekly cash flow reportsto support short‑term liquidity planning
• Prepare schedules and documentation forexternal accountants, including year‑end reporting and audit support
• Participate in thedocumentation and continuous improvementof accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting practices
• Collaborate closely withoperations, HR, and cross‑functional teamsto ensure accurate coding, documentation, and timely processing of transactions

Credentials & Experience

• Minimum3 years of accounting experience, with exposure to full‑cycle responsibilities
• StrongExcel skills, with comfort working in detailed schedules, reconciliations, and financial analysis
• Working knowledge ofjob costing, project accounting, and financial forecasting
• Experience with accounting or ERP systems;Microsoft NAV / Business Central experience is an asset -Payroll experienceis considered an asset
