The Opportunity
The Vancouver office of Dentons Canada LLP is looking to add an ambitious associate with 1 to 3 years’ experience to its market-leading real estate group. Locally, Dentons has one of the most recognized and diverse real estate practices in the city, where we focus on multi-family and mixed-use developments, investment properties, and commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions. The group is proud to be among a very small, select group of self-sustaining and business-generating commercial real estate groups in Vancouver that maintain an active development practice and advise clients on projects from inception to completion. In addition to our significant local presence in Vancouver and British Columbia, on a global basis our team forms an integral part of one of the largest real estate groups in the world.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with dedicated lawyers who are passionate about their work, while enjoying the benefits of an international firm. At the same time, our office operates in the spirit of our local Vancouver roots, valuing close connections with our colleagues and fostering a team-oriented atmosphere where mentoring and innovation is a priority.
Your Role

The successful candidate will demonstrate top-notch substantive and practice skills for their level, an ability to think analytically, creatively and practically, the desire to learn from leading practitioners and an appetite for challenge. An interest in learning the skills to develop and run one’s own practice with guidance and support is essential.
As a truly collaborative team, we are looking for candidates who have a keen interest in the real estate sector and who excel in a team environment while also demonstrating the ability to take initiative and work independently. Experience with acquisitions, dispositions, financings, leasing and the Real Estate Development Marketing Act will be considered an asset.
