As part of The Panel Shop (TPS) , you’ll join a team focused on delivering enhanced engineering repair services, technical field services, and solutions in power systems and controls & automation disciplines.

What You’ll Do:
As a Draftsperson, you’ll play a key role in supporting our engineering and project teams. Starting with drafting responsibilities, this role is designed to grow into broader project management opportunities as you gain experience.
You Will:
- Produce accurate drawings using AutoCAD and other design tools.
- Support design and engineering teams by preparing layouts, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with panel technicians, estimators, and project managers to ensure designs meet project requirements.
- Revise drawings and layouts to accommodate design changes and updates.
- Maintain organized files and drawing records in accordance with company standards.
- Participate in project meetings, gaining exposure to project planning and controls.
- Develop skills to transition into project management, including scheduling, budgeting, and client coordination.
What We’re Looking For:
We’re excited to meet candidates who have:
- A Diploma in Engineering Technology, Drafting/Design, or a related field.
- 1 -3 years of experience in a drafting position, preferably in an industrial environment.
- AutoCAD proficiency (experience in electrical or mechanical drafting is an asset).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate drawings.
- Eagerness to learn and grow into project management responsibilities.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Compensation:
We offer an hourly wage in the ra nge of $24.00 – $28.00 p er hour, commensurate with skills and experience.
