Your Contribution:
Your main responsibilities
- Provide consulting services related to construction quality control and material testing;
- Enhance, develop, and mobilize a team of professionals and technicians;
- Ensure safety protocols are followed, including conducting field safety inspections;
- Plan, assign, coordinate, and supervise work, projects, and activities performed by the team;
- Chair periodic communication and meetings for the team;
- Help manage training plans and career development for employees;
- Provide effective leadership, direction, and support for team members;
- Assist in the recruitment of professionals;
- Work with project managers to ensure projects are set up and executed in full compliance with quality standards and regulations;
- Identify areas for potential improvement and direct the implementation of changes;
- Prepare proposals for construction materials testing and geotechnical engineering projects, including scope of work and fees;
- Serve as the Quality Assurance Reviewer for construction quality control projects, geotechnical investigations, designs, and deliverables;
- Build and support client relationships at the appropriate level, in conjunction with the senior leadership team;
- Participate in regional strategic planning meetings;
- Implement up-to-date business processes.
Your Profile:
What makes you unique
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in the field of materials testing and/or geotechnical engineering;
- Proven experience managing a portfolio of projects and leading a team of project engineers and/or civil technicians;
- University Degree or College Certificate in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering;
- Active membership with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) and/or the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists;
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
