St. Michael's School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate After School Club Supervisor to oversee and facilitate the daily operations of our after-school program. The ideal candidate will ensure a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for students to engage in various activities, complete homework, and develop social skills in alignment with the school’s Catholic values.
This position is a part-time position. The position is typically from 3 PM to 6 PM Monday through Friday on days when the school is in session. After School Care Supervisors are required to facilitate and supervise a variety of activities. Physical activity is, therefore, required and will include walking, standing, and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervision and Safety:
- Oversee the safety and well-being of students during after-school hours.
- Monitor student activities to ensure a safe and respectful atmosphere.
- Program Implementation:
- Plan and facilitate engaging activities, including educational, recreational, and spiritual development programs.
- Assist students with homework and provide additional academic support as needed.
- Encourage positive social interactions among students through group activities and cooperative play.
- Communication:
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents, teachers, and school administration.
- Provide regular updates to the Principal about program operations and student behaviour.
- Administrative Duties:
- Keep accurate records of student attendance and incidents.
- Assist with the setup and cleanup of program spaces and materials.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in education, child development, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience working with children in an educational or recreational setting.
- Experience or coursework relating to working with children with diverse needs or abilities are an asset.
Skills And Abilities
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Teachers are also eligible for the Group Benefits Program that provides medical, dental, other extended health benefits, plus a defined contribution (DC) Group Pension Plan.
