JOB PURPOSE
The Supervisor is responsible for planning and coordinating clerical support services either in a clinical and/or administrative environment for a department or service.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school graduation plus additional Office Administration program/course of over one and up to two years or equivalent.
- Must have two years of related experience including supervisory ability.
- Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
- Ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Good work record.
Demonstrated proficiency verified by testing in:
- Typing 35 WPM (General)
- Excel 75%
- Outlook 75%
- Word 75%
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Supervisor of Support Staff is responsible for:
- Developing staff work schedules and shift assignments
- Developing, implementing and/or monitoring policies and procedures
- Monitoring productivity and providing day-to-day oversight and support
- Identifying and addressing day-to-day issues
- Gathering and analyzing data and preparing reports
- Assisting with the hiring and training new staff
- Performing support services as required
- Payroll duties and department finances as required
- Ensures orientation and training new staff
- Participates in the performance appraisal and interview process as needed
