About the role

Part of the Enterprise Archietcture team, you will function as a senior member of the Archietcture Team at People Corporation supporting technology operations and strategic initiatives.
We are seeking a forward-thinking Enterprise Architect to lead our enterprise architecture strategy across AI, automation, cloud, and data platforms. Reporting to the VP Enterprise Architecture, you will play a pivotal role in designing the next-generation technology ecosystem that enables data-driven decision-making, intelligent operations, and scalable innovation across our financial services organization
The Enterprise Architect – AI, Automation & Data Platforms will play a strategic role in shaping People Corporation’s intelligent enterprise architecture and extend it to the group of companies under People Corporation umbrella. This role will define, govern, and evolve the architecture standards and roadmaps that enable scalable adoption of AI, intelligent automation, advanced analytics, and cloud-based data platforms across the enterprise.

The Enterprise Architect (AI, Automation & Data Platforms) will:

  • Define and evolve the enterprise architecture roadmap and blueprint for AI, intelligent automation, analytics, and cloud data platforms at people corporation.
  • Develop and maintain reference architectures, design patterns, and standards supporting digital and data transformation.
  • Partner with business, data, and engineering teams to integrate automation, AI, and analytics into core business processes.
  • Provide architectural oversight for enterprise initiatives in AI, RPA, MLOps, and data engineering.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory obligations (OSFI, PIPEDA, GDPR, etc.).
  • Collaborate with risk, compliance, and IT governance to define AI and automation guardrails and controls.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and vendors to identify opportunities for innovation and operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to cloud adoption and modernization initiatives, ensuring architectural consistency and interoperability.
  • Advise senior stakeholders on the business value of data, AI, and automation investments.

To be successful as a Enterprise Architect (AI, Automation & Data Platforms) with People Corporation, you will need:

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or platform strategy within financial services or a regulated industry.

  • Proven experience with AI/ML platforms, automation tools (e.g., Automation Anywhere, Power Automate), and data analytics ecosystems (Azure, AWS, GCP, Databricks, Snowflake, etc.)

  • Previous success in working in a matrix reporting, dynamic and fast-paced environment.

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.

  • Experience designing architectures for cloud-native data and AI platforms.

  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills across business and technology teams.

  • Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.

  • Strong understanding of financial services regulations, data privacy, and cybersecurity standards.

  • Experience working with Data platforms and technologies such as:

    • Expertise in Databricks Lakehouse Platform, including Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and ML flow.
    • Experience integrating Databricks with Azure Synapse, ADF, and Power BI for end-to-end data and analytics pipelines.
    • Deep understanding of data modeling, data governance, and data quality frameworks.
    • Proficiency in real-time data processing (Spark, Kafka, Event Hubs).
    • Familiarity with data cataloging and lineage tools (e.g., Purview, Collibra, Alation).
  • Strong grounding in Azure landing zone design, identity and access management (Entra ID), and cloud networking.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a solution-oriented mindset.

  • Communication & Leadership: Ability to communicate technical solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
