Position Summary
The Food Runner / Expeditor is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of food to guests while maintaining high standards of presentation and service. This role supports the smooth flow of orders between the kitchen and dining areas and provides assistance to the service team wherever needed, including setting up and maintaining buffets. Teamwork, attention to detail, and adherence to health and safety standards are key priorities in this role.
Primary Responsibilities
- Deliver food to restaurant patrons promptly, accurately, and with proper presentation.
- Support assigned sections and assist colleagues to ensure smooth service.
- Accurately communicate orders from the kitchen to the table.
- Check each dish before service to confirm completeness, quality, and presentation.
- Handle plates carefully and deliver food while maintaining optimal temperature.
- Follow instructions attentively and communicate effectively with leaders.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times.
- Maintain a team-oriented approach, assisting where needed to support overall operations.
- Assist with buffet setup, ensuring food is arranged neatly and replenished as required.
Secondary Responsibilities
In addition to food delivery, the Food Runner / Expeditor will:
- Clear and clean tables efficiently when needed.
- Refill water glasses and assist with beverage service if required.
- Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, dining areas, and buffet stations.
- Return used plates and utensils to the kitchen promptly.
- Address customer concerns courteously and escalate issues appropriately.
- Stay productive during slower periods by supporting various operational tasks, including:

- Assisting with the colleague cafeteria.
- Supporting the Front of House (FOH) and kitchen teams with their respective duties.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs safely.
- Attention to detail and commitment to high standards of service.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Commitment to health, safety, and sanitation standards.

Additional Information
Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
Schedule: able to work night, weekend, and holiday shifts,Full-time or Part-time.
