Location Address: 100 Queens Quay East, 9th Floor, Toronto Number of Openings: 1 Pay: $74,671.00 - $130,424 Job Posting Description: FinOps Lead This position is onsite #LI-Onsite Are you passionate about establishing and operating FinOps? Reporting to the Manager, DevOps & Cloud, you will play an essential role as a liaison across IT, Finance, and business teams to drive cloud financial accountability, cost transparency, and value realization. You will also be accountable for defining, implementing, and sustaining FinOps processes including cost allocation, forecasting, optimization, and reporting across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. If you are an experienced FinOps specialist, then this is the role for you! About the Role FinOps Practices Establish and evolve FinOps framework aligned to FinOps Foundation principles. Define cost allocation models, tagging standards, and ownership structures. Lead cost optimization initiatives and ensure measurable savings. Manage forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis. Track and report FinOps KPIs (unit cost, waste, forecast accuracy). Conduct regular cost reviews with engineering and business teams. Drive accountability by assigning cost ownership FinOps Operating Model & Governance Define and maintain FinOps operating model and processes. Establish governance policies for cloud financial management. Build dashboards and reporting for engineering and executives. Lead cross-functional FinOps forums. Maintain FinOps maturity roadmap and continuous improvement. Evaluate and implement FinOps tools DevOps & Automation Implement policy-as-code and cost controls in CI/CD pipelines Automate rightsizing, scheduling, and shutdown processes Use IaC to enforce cost optimization strategies Integrate cost awareness into DevOps workflows Collaboration & Reporting Partner with Finance on budgeting and forecasting. Work with engineering teams to align spend to value. Translate cloud costs into business metrics. Educate teams on cost-efficient architecture Produce executive-level reporting on cloud spend trends. Track and validate savings and cost avoidance. Communicate performance and insights to leadership About You College Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related area 3+ years experience with FinOps practices and cloud financial management. Strong knowledge of Azure, AWS, or GCP cost structures. Experience with cost tools (Azure Cost Management, AWS Cost Explorer). Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and cost allocation. Strong stakeholder communication across IT and Finance.
