Your Opportunity
Our Building Specialty Services (BSS) group considered a leader in our industry and is one of the fastest growing service offerings at our organization that includes a diverse mix of professionals with practical design, field, and industry research and product development expertise. This group is able to seek the best projects with the best clients because they deliver tools that empower designers to create high performing buildings without compromising budget or function. We are currently seeking an experienced Roof Inspector to complement our Building Sciences team in the Burnaby office.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Complete roof observation reviews warranty reviews and investigations
- Contract administration on MH's projects
- Reviewing roof replacement design packages
- Attend client meetings and present results in a clear and effective manner considering different backgrounds of audience, including residential boards of directors, developers, and facility managers/asset managers/engineering teams of large portfolios
- Collaborate with multi-discipline project teams on large and complex assessment assignments for various property types including multi-family residential, municipal, institutional, industrial, healthcare and mission critical.
- Attend relevant industry events such with IIBEC and RCABC.
- Manage client relationships.
- Conduct business development to secure revenue-generating projects.
- Conduct and participate in research related to roofing
- Mentor junior staff.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD is desirable
- Ability to handle multiple projects with the ability to effectively prioritize
- Strong written and verbal communications skills in English is required
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment with a strong customer service commitment
- Strong relationship/interpersonal skills required
Education and Experience
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in the industry. Registered Roofing Observer (RRO) preferred.
- Valid British Columbia driver's license and access to a vehicle.
- Roofing TQ designation and/or construction review experience is considered an asset.

Pay Range:
• Locations in Lower Mainland - BC - Min Salary $ 76,500.00 - Max Salary $ 110,900.00
Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
