Rehabilitation Assistant 2L Surgery
About the role
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary diploma from a recognized Rehabilitation Assistant program (e.g. combination OTA/PTA Program) required.
- Current BLS certification required or willing to complete within 3 months of hire.
- Must have knowledge/experience with mobilizing and positioning patients.
- Must have knowledge/experience of various mobility aids (high walker, Rollator etc).
- Must have knowledge/experience working with neurologically impaired patients
- One year of acute care experience preferred
- Must have excellent working knowledge of the English Language, both verbal and written.
- Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to build and maintain good relationships with patients and families.
- Must be able to provide support to a multi-disciplinary team.
- Must be able to prioritize and organize duties, and work well independently.
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements of bending, transferring, assisting and supporting patients.
- Basic computer skills preferred.
- Satisfactory attendance record.
