Proven experience delivering projects across Canada while partnering with U.S.-based cross-functional teams, including IT, Operations, Finance, HR, and business stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to operate in a matrixed North American environment, balancing Canadian business priorities with enterprise objectives
Essential Job Functions
Partner with business leaders and /Project Exec Sponsors, Program managers, and Leaders to develop, execute, and implement the projects and business priorities. Adhere established governance, scope, project timelines, and milestones for each project assigned Incorporate key tenants of change management into the implementation in each project being delivered Be quick and agile in escalations to the right stakeholders on the keys risks and issues Maintain detailed project plans, action plans, RAID logs through using Smartsheets and other potential portfolio management tool on a daily basis Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with key stakeholders, including executives, department heads, and team members, to ensure projects meet organizational objectives. Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement by utilizing Lean and Agile principles to streamline processes and optimize team performance. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, ensuring that potential challenges are proactively managed. Resource Management: Efficiently allocate resources, manage budgets, and ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. Performance Metrics: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate project success and organizational effectiveness. Change Management: Lead change initiatives by facilitating communication, managing expectations, and minimizing resistance across the organization.
Partner with the Enterprise Planning Leader and Functional Leaders to track the overall Canada IT Project Portfolio Understand resource and capability requirements for the project & partner with the Enterprise Planning Leader to ensure those capabilities are included in the resource capacity tool Understand initiative resource constraints/ challenges Partner with functional leaders & Enterprise Planning Leader to assess resource requirements or trade-offs needed to ensure that overall NA deliverables are met on time, and identify capabilities needed to achieve project results Leverage discussions to identify and communicate timeline changes or needs to project team and leadership Occasional travel might be necessary within Canada or to the USA.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Initiative and drive Critical thinking skills Ability to influence people and thought processes without direct authority Experience with working with collaboration tools, such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Smartsheet, etc.
Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Required Work Experience
12+ years of demonstrated experience as a Project Manager leading multiple projects or large, business-wide transformational programs. Experience in managing projects with global and/or cross-functional responsibility Documented experience in negotiating and resolving complex issues and risks Experience in estimating work efforts and/or resource capacity planning in a professional services environment Specific experience designing and leading the execution of internally focused and externally-focused change/communications strategy Documented experience in negotiating and resolving complex issues and risks Required Education, Certifications, Training
4-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent required, business, engineering, or science disciplines preferred. A Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.

PMP certification
Certification or professional knowledge of Smartsheet's Project Management and Resource Management modules Change Management (Any OCM Certification is desired) Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher) certification What we offer
