GTel is looking for Leak Survey Technicians - Fulltime, Ottawa ON

• Perform integrity walking inspections of buried gas plant utilizing the latest in Infra-red and flame ionization leak detection technologies. GTel will provide all training and tools required to conduct all leakage surveys performed within the organization. All work conducted will be outdoors.
• Accept and complete all survey assignments/tasks, as deemed reasonable
• Upload/download daily route/work assignments as required to accommodate the Utilities’schedule
• Adhere to all safety related programs/procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
• Act in a professional, courteous manner at all times, while exercising common sense.
• Maintain and adhere to all required GTel’s written procedures and/or check lists to ensure efficient, accurate and timely service maintenance.
• Report field hazards/problems and add efficiencies to enhance the quality of services.
• Update and maintain all available handheld fields as required to enhance and ensure GTel’s quality and quantity of associated services.
• Comply with company procedures and policies pertaining to the use and care of all GTel’s and the Utility issued equipment and/or property.

Position Requirements:

• Ability to walk distances of 20-25 thousand steps daily.
• Comfortable with working outside in all weather conditions.
• Have a valid ‘G’ class Driver’s License and clean three (3) year Driver’s Abstract as this position includes a company vehicle for business purposes only (Corporate gas card included).
• A clean Driver’s Abstract and Criminal Background Check.
• Successful completion of high school or equivalent.
