The Strategic Applications Consultant manages multi-person, multi-disciplined project teams, and formulates business responses to clients.

The position manages project teams either directly or through project leaders and provides leadership to staff in a broad area of major applications architecture. The position sets its own standards and work to be completed, and has significant input to objectives and technical issues.

The position independently initiates and recommends various programs and is responsible for all aspects of the most difficult and highly complex projects and applications. The analyst would make a responsible contribution to decisions on all matters including policies, utilization and development. As a knowledgeable leader, the Strategic Applications Consultant also makes a significant contribution to the customer in multiple areas, dealing with customers and ISM senior or executive management.

Responsibilities

  • Managing multi-person, multi-disciplined project teams, including coordinating and administering the planning budgeting, organizing, development, control and implementation of the projects.
  • Formulating business responses to clients, including hardware and software options and strategies, capacity planning, methodology, applications schedules and costs.
  • Developing and costing computing technology solutions for complex and diverse client/business needs such as hardware, software, personnel, communications and facilities.
  • Making recommendations concerning decisions on policies, utilization and development.
  • Providing leadership to staff and customers in a broad area of major applications architecture.
  • Providing advice, leadership and program recommendations to staff and customers on all aspects of major applications architecture.
  • Making presentations to customer executives and participating in other public speaking events.
  • Developing and maintaining expertise with leading edge technology and recognition as an industry leader.

Quién es usted

Qualifications

  • University degree or diploma from a two year program in Computer Science/Data Processing or an equivalent combination of education, experience and training plus 9 years in one area of business or systems technology.
  • Superior knowledge and recognition as an industry specialist in information technologies, methodologies, tools and techniques.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated public relations and speaking skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Skills and abilities acceptable to the client.

Key Skills & Abilities

The following skills and abilities are considered an asset for this position:

  • Expert-level ServiceNow technical expertise, with demonstrated ability to drive solution architecture, design, integration and development.

  • Demonstrated experience with ServiceNow’s Telecommunications Service Management (TSM) module.

  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS)

  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer

  • Certified Implementation Specialist in ITSM

  • Certified ServiceNow Associate System administrator with experience in form configuration, workflow administration, and reporting

  • Experience with ITIL processes and frameworks

  • Excellent knowledge of Agile development methodologies

  • Investigative, curious, and creative

  • Ability to lead a team by example

  • Ability to present technical material to varied audiences

  • Exceptional customer relationship management and interpersonal skills

  • Experience providing regular maintenance, updates, enhancements, and defect remediation to the ServiceNow ITSM and ITOM platforms

  • Proficiency in JavaScript/AJAX and SQL

  • Experience developing REST server APIs

  • Excellent knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Angular

  • Experience with databases, data analysis

  • ITIL foundation certified

  • Self-driven and team oriented
