About the role
Who you are

- 1-3 years of experience in a financial or analytical role (FP&A experience is an asset)
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail; proficient in Excel (or Google Sheets) and PowerPoint (or Google Slides). Experience with financial planning software (e.g., Adaptive Insights) is a plus
- Experience with pulling & analyzing data; developing financial modeling skills
- Familiarity with SQL and the ability to build basic queries to support analysis is a strong asset
- Prior experience working in or with financial institutions (e.g., banks, brokerages, or FinTechs) is considered an advantage
- Ability to thrive in a fast-growing, dynamic environment
- A passion for understanding business processes and contributing to problem-solving
- A curious nature; if something seems off, flag it for investigation and assist in understanding the issue
- Good interpersonal skills and willingness to work collaboratively with team members; able to communicate effectively

What the job involves
- Assist in the development and maintenance of the annual budget, quarterly re-forecasts and monthly rolling forecasts, supporting the streamlining of the budgeting process
- Work with business units and Finance teams to gather inputs for monthly, quarterly, and annual expense forecasts
- Perform variance analysis on actuals to forecast and assist in identifying key drivers for review with senior team members
- Support the financial reporting team during month-end close by preparing data and reconciliations for accuracy and completeness of information
- Assist in the preparation of materials for external board reporting and other deliverables
- Provide assistance on ad-hoc projects
