About the role
The Banking Solutions Department, part of the Business Services sector, is seeking a business analyst to support projects within Business Services. As a business analyst, you assess internal client needs to design and build business and IT solutions. You help coordinate and implement development initiatives and IT patches. You contribute to foundational solution design for various trading desks. You will work closely with the project sponsor, project manager, architects, product owner and IT teams to ensure smooth project execution. More specifically, you will be required to:
- Analyze costs, benefits, risks, constraints, business opportunities and stakeholder needs to be factored into the project’s scope.
- Identify, analyze, document and validate the organization’s business needs and requirements.
- Advise and assist users; challenge work methods with a view to improving the organization and fostering innovation.
- Formalize objectives, help identify value and model business processes.
- Cocreate the solution with users and ensure alignment with business objectives. Analyze impacts with the parties involved, and identify prerequisites and internal dependencies. Make sure the solution is developed with a cross-sector vision and include end-to-end requirement traceability.
- Help develop testing strategies and acceptance testing plans, and take part in testing.
- Support the business sector during solution rollouts.
- Help develop change management strategies and carry out change management activities.
- Participate in organizational and project risk analyses and measures.
- Participate in quality control activities (review of work processes, impact analysis, cost/benefit analysis, etc.).

What you bring to the table
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- A minimum of eight years of relevant experience in business analysis
- Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Certification in business analysis (CBAP or PMI-PBA) or knowledge of business analysis methodology (BABOK or PBAP)
- Experience in project/business solution delivery
- Experience in system integration and deployment and software implementation
- Knowledge of French is required
- Knowledge of requirements modelling, impact analyses and technical documentation
- Knowledge of traditional and Agile development methodologies
- Knowledge of the banking, financial services and payments industry
- Knowledge of business banking operations, including imports/exports, foreign exchange contracts, account transactions, accounting entries, Nostro reconciliation, drafts, cheques and reconciliation
