Posting Period: November 13, 2025 - November 22, 2025 The Medical Secretary will provide secretarial services supporting the clinical work of physicians.
Skills And Qualifications Required
- Medical Office Administration Diploma
- Minimum two years experience in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare environment
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
Position Responsibilities
- Ensures that the client and related clinical work receives the highest priority
- Maintains confidentiality regarding personal health information and information relating to Providence Care
- Schedules patients/clients for appointments and pre-registers the information into the patient care system for activity occurring at Providence Care Hospital.
- Consults with physician and team members to ensure that appropriate services are provided to the client, and liaises with other organizations and/or services involve
- Types memos and letters, and other required documentation as needed
- Demonstrated word processing/keyboarding of 55 wpm
- Demonstrated intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of products and ability to learn new software programs
