What you’ll be doing

Lead the strategic development and execution of product positioning initiatives, ensuring CIBC Asset Management’s (CAM) investment products are clearly differentiated and effectively communicated to clients and stakeholders. Drive collaboration across teams to enhance the market presence and competitive advantage of CAM product suite.

How you’ll succeed

  • Develop and execute product positioning strategies for both existing and new investment products, aligning with CAM’s business objectives and market trends.
  • Lead the creation of compelling product narratives, value propositions, and messaging frameworks tailored to various client segments and distribution channels.
  • Collaborate with Product Development, Marketing, Client Portfolio Management, and Global Distribution to ensure consistency and effectiveness of product positioning in all materials and communications.
  • Oversee the preparation of product positioning deliverables, including product positioning briefs, pitch decks, fund profiles, commentaries, FAQs, and training materials.
  • Analyze competitive landscape, client needs, and industry trends to identify opportunities for differentiation and inform positioning strategies.
  • Present positioning strategies and key findings to senior leadership and other stakeholders, supporting business development and strategic initiatives. Ensure all positioning activities adhere to regulatory requirements and internal compliance standards. Continuously monitor and assess the effectiveness of positioning initiatives, leveraging feedback and analytics to drive continuous improvement.

Who you are

  • You have Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field (MBA or CFA designation considered an asset).
  • You can demonstrate experience. 7+ years of experience in product management, product marketing, or a related role within asset management or financial services. Proven track record of developing and executing successful product positioning strategies. Strong understanding of investment products, financial markets, and client needs. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear, compelling messages. Demonstrated leadership and project management abilities.
