Position Summary Reporting to the Principal Engineer, The System Engineer is responsible for managing and supporting Temenos environments across Development, QA, UAT, and Production. This role involves ensuring system stability, performance, and security while coordinating with internal teams and Temenos for configuration, patching, and environment refresh activities. The engineer will monitor system health, optimize COB (Close of Business) processes, and proactively address performance issues. Additionally, the engineer will handle user access management, participate in reconciliation processes for data integrity, and ensure smooth coordination across business, QA, and development teams for timely delivery and system reliability.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining Temenos environments across Development, QA, UAT, and Production.
- Support configuration, patching, and environment refresh activities in coordination with internal teams and Temenos.
- Monitor system health and escalate performance issues proactively.
- Participate in COB (Close of Business) optimization efforts; monitor COB execution and follow up with Temenos in case of failures.
- Coordinate with Temenos to investigate and resolve PACS-related issues; assign appropriate priority levels and ensure timely follow-ups.
- Triaging incoming support tickets, categorizing issues, and ensuring timely resolution or escalation.
- Use ticketing tools such as JIRA to manage incidents, changes, and service requests.
- Manage user access and basic security configurations.
- Document procedures and support change and incident management processes.
- Provide Production Support including issue triage, resolution coordination, and stakeholder communication.
- Support QA and UAT testing cycles, including environment readiness, defect triaging, and test coordination.
- Coordinate with stakeholders across business, QA, and development teams to ensure smooth delivery and support.
- Participate in reconciliation processes to validate data integrity across systems.
- Create deployment packages from the Development environment and manage versioning.
- Prepare release notes and maintain documentation for each release cycle.
- Ensure smooth release management from Development through to Production, including coordination with all relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience Degrees, Diplomas & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technology discipline.
Years and Range of Experience Required to Perform the Job:
- 3–5 years of experience in the banking domain, Temenos platform, or related technology environments.
- Exposure to Temenos T24, TAFJ, TPH, TDH, Extensibility Framework.
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Experience using ticketing systems like JIRA.
- Strong willingness to learn and grow in a core banking environment.
- Good communication and coordination skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- The position requires strong written and verbal communication skills and exceptional organization and time management skills
