The Department of Families is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the Child and Family Services Applications (CFSA) Trainer position located in Winnipeg.
Duties:
Under the general direction of the Manager of Operations and Support , the CFSA Trainer works as a member of the Child and Family Services Operations and Support team to provide training and support for Child and Family Services (CFS) users at the Child and Family Services Division, CFS agencies, Authorities and regional offices. The CFSA Traner provides input into the development and operations of the CFSA to meet the procedural and operational requirements of CFS, including requirements of the Child and Family Services Act.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Post secondary education in Social Sciences field (preferably BSW). Other combinations of education and related experience may be considered
- Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning principles, with experience designing and delivering training to adult learners
- Experience in case management and front-line service delivery in the Child and Family Services field
- Thorough knowledge of Child and Family Services legislation, standards and agency operating procedures
- Experience working with the Child and Family Services Information System (CFSIS) and Intake Module (IM)
- Strong verbal communication skills including the ability to deliver information effectively to various individuals
- Excellent written communication skills with experience developing a variety of materials
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively build and maintain strong working relationships with a variety of individuals
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) or similar software applications

Must be able to provide and maintain a satisfactory Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check

Must possess and maintain a valid Full Class 5 Manitoba Driver's License and have access to a personal vehicle

Must be able to travel throughout the province as required, including air travel on small aircraft, with occasional overnight stays

Must be able to work overtime, including evenings and weekends, as required
