Interior Health is seeking a relief full-time Team Leader of Home Support Services to join the Vernon Community Care Health Services team. This role provides leadership and support to Community Care Home Support programs and requires one year of formal supervisory experience within the past three years.

Days of work: Rotating day and evening shifts from 07:00 to 15:00, 08:00 to 16:00, 13:00 to 21:00.

About the role:
The Team Leader-Home Support coordinates Home Support Services by supervising Unregulated Care Providers (UCPs), overseeing the implementation of client care plans, providing training and evaluation of care provided by staff, and advocating for changes that improve client care. In collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, the Team Leader-Home Support provides input on assessments, nursing diagnosis, personal and nursing care for clients in a community health setting. Provides nursing care within the LPN Standards of Practice as outlined by British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives and within employer policies, procedures, limits and conditions.

Education, Training and Experience:

Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses and three (3) years of recent, related acute, long-term care or community care experience including one (1) year supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Current, full practicing licensure with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).

Current valid BC Driver’s License.
