Your mission:
Reporting to the Finance Director, the Head of Accounting oversees all accounting operations, ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and strategic alignment with company objectives. This leadership role is responsible for managing the accounting team, enhancing financial management systems, and supporting senior leadership with insightful analysis and risk management strategies.
- Lead, mentor and develop the accounting team, including training and performance management.
- Oversee timely and accurate preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.
- Lead the month-end, half year-end and year-end financial close processes.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards (IFRS), regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
- Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes, systems, and reporting.
- Ensure robust cost accounting, inventory control, and fixed asset management processes.
- Oversee intercompany accounting and reconciliations.
- Direct the design and implementation of internal controls, audits, and financial risk management.
- Collaborate with the Finance Director and Financial Controller on budgeting, forecasting and financial strategy.
- Act as a partner to operations and business leaders by providing strategic financial insights to support decision-making and drive performance improvement.
- Oversee tax compliance, local treasury operations and related compliance activities.
- Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors, tax authorities and regulatory bodies.
Your profile:

- CPA designation required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; Master’s degree an asset.
- Minimum 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience in industrial or manufacturing sectors preferred.
- Proven leadership, communication, and team development skills.
- Advanced Excel and ERP system proficiency; SAP experience is an asset.
