About the role

Our client, Institute of Metacognitive Programming (IMCP), is looking for an experienced professional to join their team as the Chief Performance & Growth Officer . This is a full-time remote position (U.S. timezone preferred, or flexible). Executive role .

Company Context & Mission Institute of Metacognitive Programming (IMCP) delivers training and certification in Metacognitive Programming, a coaching and leadership methodology focused on shifting internal thought-emotional patterns to enable sustainable change.

IMCPs vision is to scale its methodology globally, helping professionals, coaches, and leaders achieve transformation through ontological approaches grounded in psychology, neuroscience, and philosophy.

As IMCP grows its digital footprint (online courses, certifications, group coaching, subscriptions, etc.), it needs a top-tier growth executive to lead performance, funnel optimization, growth hacking, and revenue acceleration.

Role Purpose This role exists to translate IMCPs mission into measurable revenue and impact growth . The Chief Performance & Growth Officer is responsible for building, measuring, and scaling growth systems (funnels, analytics, experimentation) that reliably convert prospective learners/coaching clients into paying customers and drive retention and upsells.

They will embed a culture of data-driven performance into every part of marketing, product, and operations, while aligning with IMCPs philosophical and transformation-oriented DNA.

Key Responsibilities/Mandate

  • Growth Strategy & Planning  - Define and own the growth roadmap (customer acquisition, retention, upsell) aligned with the companys strategic goals.  - Identify high-leverage growth channels (paid, organic, partnerships, affiliates) and scale testing.

  • Build and implement company-wide performance frameworks and OKRs.

  • Lead annual planning and monthly performance reviews.

  • Align creative, tech, and financial teams under one coherent growth system.

  • Balance mission impact with financial excellence.

  • Develop and validate new monetization vehicles that expand impact (certifications, B2B licensing, low-ticket products).

  • Manage strategic relationships with top publishers, global distribution partners, platforms, and affiliate networks.

  • Funnel Design & Optimization  - Architect multi-stage funnels (lead magnet nurture conversion retention/upsell).  - Conduct rigorous A/B testing, cohort analysis, conversion optimization.  - Optimize CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost), LTV (Lifetime Value), churn, payback period, etc.

  • Performance Management & Analytics - Build and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and reporting across all growth channels.

  • Monitor real-time metrics, identify bottlenecks, drive corrective action.

  • Own the P&L across all revenue streams (books, programs, events, media).

  • Forecast revenue, set monthly/quarterly targets, report to leadership.

  • Oversee digital infrastructure including LMS, CRM, membership ecosystems, and community apps.

  • Drive continuous optimization of acquisition funnels, engagement loops, and retention cohorts.

  • Implement human-centered design principles across digital touchpoints.

  • Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies (AI, Web3) in alignment with mission and simplicity

  • Growth Hacking & Experimentation - Run rapid experiments and pilot programs to test new marketing, pricing, product, or distribution ideas.

  • Work cross-functionally with product, content, operations to execute growth experiments.

  • Team Leadership & Capability Building - Recruit, mentor, and lead a team (data analysts, funnel managers, growth marketers).

  • Instill a culture of accountability, experimentation, and continuous improvement.

  • Build a data-driven yet heart-centered culture of transformation and excellence.

  • Codify and champion a values-based, heart-centered company culture rooted in transformation and excellence.

Brand & Content Execution

  • Develop talent pipelines, mentorship pathways, and succession planning for key executive and creative roles.
  • Hold people accountable for results, not hours.
  • Alignment with Personal Development Philosophy  - In all growth efforts, ensure that messaging, funnels, programs reflect IMCPs values (authenticity, transformation, service).
  • Collaborate with the content/coaching teams to ensure growth strategies enhance (not conflict with) the integrity of transformational delivery.
  • Collaborate directly with the founder and the board on messaging architecture and long-term content roadmap.
  • Ensure cohesive brand voice across all media (books, video, podcast, social, live).
  • Set and uphold creative quality standards across all published content.
  • Balance intimacy at scaleretaining the emotional impact of personal transformation while reaching millions.
  • Success Metrics/Key Outcomes (First 1224 months).

As a CPO you are RESPONSIBLE for the companys financial result short-term and long-term. Inability to deliver the result on a constant basis will lead to dismissal. The probation period to learn and prepare for the role is 120 days. After 120 days we expect the company to hit mutually agreed targets with a high precision.

  • X% month-over-month or quarter-over-quarter revenue growth (to be set collaboratively).
  • Reduction in CAC by Y% while preserving or improving LTV.
  • Scaled funnel conversion rates: e.g. lead MQL paid client benchmarks.
  • Improved retention or upsell metrics by Z%.
  • Established robust growth infrastructure: dashboards, experimentation framework, regular review cadences.
  • A fully functional growth team under your leadership delivering measurable results.

Ideal Profile & Qualities Technical/Analytical Strengths

  • Deep facility with numbers, metrics, analytics, and modeling.
  • Experience in math, engineering, finance, or law (or equivalent quantitative rigor).
  • Proven track record in funnel management, growth marketing, or growth hacking roles.
  • Strong fluency with tools: analytics platforms (e.g. Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude), A/B testing frameworks, CRM/marketing stacks, BI dashboards.

Qualifications Experience & Qualifications (Baseline, but flexibility for exceptional candidates)

  • 10+ years executive leadership in publishing, education, coaching, service, e-commerce or digital info businesses.
  • Proven experience scaling companies from mid 7 figures to $25M+ in annual revenue.
  • Advanced financial fluency; comfort owning complex P&Ls, ROAS, CAC:LTV models, etc.
  • Deep experience with digital growth systems: AI, funnels, course platforms, lifecycle automation.
  • Industry literacy in consciousness, wellness, leadership, or transformational learning (strong plus).

  • Fully remote role; overlap hours with U.S and Europe time zones.
  • Regular cadence of reviews, meetings (weekly with CEO, monthly with leadership).
  • Occasional travel as needed.
