About the role
Location: Key Lake
As the main contact of the regulatory compliance program, you are responsible for coordinating all regulatory compliance activities at the Key Lake location. Working under the point of contact for compliance to the site operating license you are responsible for coordination and tracking of action plans, inspections, audits, and reporting requirements to meet regulatory commitments.
In this role, you will:
- Review and coordinate correspondence between Key Lake and the regulatory agencies this includes establishing and maintaining a database for regulatory actions required, coordinating efforts required of others on site in order to meet regulatory actions, and submissions.
- Prepare regulatory submissions including writing letters, reports and application as required.
- Facilitate all onsite regulatory inspections and audits, create action plans to address inspection and audit findings.
- Provide SHEQ departmental supervision when required.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree and/or diploma in engineering or science; equivalent experience will be considered
- 8+ years of relevant work experience in SHEQ (safety, radiation, environment and quality) at a uranium mine site or related work area including 2+ years supervisory experience
- Experience with regulatory compliance and communication and conducting regulatory inspections
- Experience coordinating activities necessary to achieve and maintain compliance environmental, safety and/or radiation protection experience
- Experience communicating with regulators
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Driver’s license
- Work a rotational schedule, one week on/one week off, and commute to site by aircraft
