Human Resources Manager

Under the direction of the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resource Manager assumes the responsibility and accountability of ensuring that the Human Resource Business Partners fulfill the corporate mandate for the operation and execution of the human resource department. They will be responsible for leading the daily operations and ensuring that programs align with Jarlette Health Services philosophy of living and strategic plan. They will act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and serve as a dedicated advocate for team members while fostering a high-performance culture rooted in engagement, compliance, and continuous learning.

The following traits and qualifications are required:

  • Must have certificate/degree in Business and/or Human Resources;
  • Must have or be working towards the CHRP, CHRL or equivalent designation;
  • 5 years related work experience in Human Resources preferred;
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of multiple human resource areas and applicable legislation;
  • Preference to have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Long-Term Care setting;
  • Previous experience working in a unionized environment would be an asset;
  • Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills including flexibility and diplomacy
  • Data analysis, basic research and presentation skills required;
  • Excellent time and project management skills;
  • Strong problem identification and resolution skills;
  • Must possess good writing skills;
  • Must be computer literate. Working knowledge of Google Suite is an asset;
  • Ability to adapt to and learn new software;
  • Must demonstrate an active interest in ongoing education;
  • Possess a current driver's license and willing to travel.
