Safety Manager
Penn-co Construction is a leading construction company currently hiring a Safety Manager to join our team working at our Steinbach office. As the Safety Supervisor you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. This role requires strong leadership skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to effectively communicate safety protocols across various departments. Responsibilities

Lead and manage the safety team to ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company

Serve as the primary point of contact for all safety-related inquiries and concerns within the

Conduct site inspections, identify hazards, and implement solutions to mitigate
-
Develop and implement safety programs for employees and
-
Investigate and report on all accidents, incidents, and near
-
Ensure that all safety equipment is properly maintained and used
-
Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to identify and mitigate potential safety
-
Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training
-
Stay up to date with industry safety standards and best
-
Able to travel to remote sites in
Qualifications
-
Diploma or certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.

NCSO or equivalent certification from a recognized training
-
A Class 5 driver’s license with willingness to
-
Proven experience in a safety management role or similar
-
Experience in the construction
-
Strong knowledge of Canadian safety regulations and
-
A leader who is relational, collaborative, and confident in their ability to influence
-
Sensitivity and adaptability to different cultures and
-
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic

About PENN-CO CONSTRUCTION
Established in 1959 by Abram K. Penner and his two sons, Penn-co Construction began as a small farm based logging operation near the village of Blumenort which is approximately thirty miles Southeast of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. In the 1980’s and 90’s, Ernie Penner expanded Penn-co to new locations throughout Canada and the United States including Calgary, Toronto, Minneapolis and Raleigh. Although the head office has always been located in Blumenort, Penn-co has successfully completed projects from Ontario to British Columbia as well as in Minnesota, Nebraska and North Carolina. We look forward to putting this experience to work for you.
