Quality Risk NurseLocation: Station Place Long-Term Care, Havelock, ONStation Place Long-Term Care is opening its doors in September 2025, and we’re building an incredible team to help bring this new long-term care home to life. We’re currently seeking a passionate and driven Quality Risk Nurse (QRN) to help shape a culture of excellence from the very beginning.If you’re a Registered Nurse who thrives on quality improvement, resident safety, and supporting frontline teams—this is your opportunity to be part of something great.About the RoleAs the Quality Risk Nurse, you will be a key resource in the home’s leadership team, supporting clinical quality, regulatory compliance, and risk management initiatives. Reporting to the Administrator and working closely with AON’s Chief Nursing Officer, you will: Lead Risk Management & Safety Initiatives
- Conduct risk assessments, audits, and rounds to proactively identify safety concerns
- Support incident reviews and implement corrective action plans
- Monitor trends, drive improvement, and foster a safety-first culture
Champion Regulatory Compliance
- Guide the home through MLTC, MOL, and Public Health standards
- Lead the home’s preparation for inspections and accreditations
- Educate and support staff through compliance expectations and updates
Support Staff Education & Best Practices
- Provide training and mentorship in care planning, assessments, and documentation
- Help develop and implement clinical and quality policies
- Serve as a trusted resource to both new and seasoned care staff
Drive Quality Improvement
- Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities
- Lead quality projects and evaluate performance metrics
- Contribute to internal audits, program evaluations, and action planning
What You Bring
- Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- 1–3 years of experience in Long-Term Care
- Knowledge of FLTCA regulations, risk management, and compliance standards
- Experience with PointClickCare, MDS-RAI, and quality indicators
- LEAN methodology or quality improvement training an asset
- Strong clinical judgement, leadership, communication, and teaching skills
