About the Role
We are seeking an Information Technology (IT) Quality Analyst (QA Analyst) to join our team. In this role, you will be engaged in all phases of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), including test planning, design, and execution. You will be responsible for validating applications and products during System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phases.
The role also involves conducting a variety of testing types such as functional, GUI, sanity, smoke, end-to-end, and regression testing as required. As a QA Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of individual projects and applications.
About Your Day
- Execute Test scenarios or Test cases for enterprise projects in XRAY test management tool and log defects in JIRA as per OCS guidelines
- Identify and prepare the right test data for test execution
- Prepare daily Status report as per OCS guidelines and circulate with required stakeholders
- Provide Test execution and defects metrics if needed
- Participate in all agile ceremonies and represent QA team
- Provide QA sign-off for all in-scope testing types (Functional, Regression, etc.)
- Juggle among multiple cross-functional projects and priorities on an as-needed basis
- Participate in sprint planning and grooming meetings to understand the scope
- Provide relatively accurate test effort estimates for functional and regression testing
- Review Test scenarios and test cases with PO, developer and BSA, and obtain sign-off
- Conduct impact analyze by discussing the changes with PO, BSA and Developer, and select the right regression suite
- Develop Test strategy for Medium and High complex projects
- Thoroughly understand Epic, user stories, functional requirements and functional design documents
- Develop Test scenarios and Test cases based on user stories, requirements and functional design documents
- Develop automation test cases using TOSCA
- Closely work with QA lead, PO, PM, BSAs and Developers on day-to-day project priorities
- Review Test scenarios and test cases with PO, developer and BSA, and obtain sign-off
- Conduct impact analyze by discussing the changes with PO, BSA and Developer, and select the right regression suite
- Actively participate in UAT, provide test data support and clarify business teams queries in application functionality
- Coordinates with external technology partners for integration of multiple systems and guide business team during User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Work with automation team to Identify regression test cases that are right candidates for automation regression suit
About You
- Post-Secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology or related areas OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3+ years experience in software testing
- 3+ years of experience in Functional, Sanity, Regression, GUI, System Testing, Integration Testing and End-to-End testing
- 1+ year experience in testing MS Dynamics 365 F&O, MS Dynamics 365 CRM, Power Platform, Web applications, Rest APIs, Database (MS SQL, Dataverse) and Middleware
- 1+ year of experience in any test management tools such as Jira/Confluence, XRAY and Azure DevOps
- 1+ year of experience in Retail/eCommerce domain
- 2+ years of experience with Agile, Waterfall and hybrid software development models
- Minimum 6 months experience in test automation with TOSCA
- Integration testing with Manhattan SCALE is an asset
- ISTQB-FL, CSTE, ISTQB – Agile is an asset
- Good understanding of IT QA testing methodologies like functional, non-functional, regression, back-end, Integration and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Sound knowledge in e-Commerce and Wholesale domain
- Time management skills, ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced agile environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong attention to detail
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Work independently with coordinating other cross functional teams in the project
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Changing and competing Priorities.
- Ability to learn new tools and technologies
- Flexibility to move around and support various platforms / applications on a need basis
About the Job
- This position currently offers a hybrid work schedule. The current in office requirement is a minimum of 3 days/week (may be more depending on business needs). The OCS office is located near York Mills and Yonge Street. However, OCS reserves the right to change this policy and its office location at any time.

Compensation
The target hiring range for this position is $70,000-$78,000. This is a pay grade 5A role, with a salary range of $53,903.29 - $81,550.87. Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.

The OCS provides safe, responsible access to legal recreational cannabis for adults 19 and older. We are Ontario’s sole wholesaler to more than 1,500 Authorized Cannabis Stores.
