We are looking for candidates to fill the following position:
Buyer (Plumbing)
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
-
Collaborate with existing buyers and other departments;
-
Coordinate the creation of purchase orders for all files under your responsibility according to project schedules and by following up;
-
Work with the “pipes and fittings” procurement process to improve the cost and timeliness of on-site material deliveries;
-
Develop open orders to ensure the delivery of equipment, services, raw material or components necessary for the proper operation of the work.
-
Assist in the review of contract documents and preparation of the “Shop Drawing Control Sheet” including budgets, delivery requirements, objectives and established deadlines;
-
Collect, by coordinating with the project managers, site manager, drawing room, the necessary information to ensure that the products selected for purchase can work together, adapt correctly and are the best options in terms of initial cost, life cycle, operating cost and overall system performance.

Responsible for the complete submission of shop drawings and the approval process for these drawings by the Senior Project Engineer; Done by the Project Authority who issues the drawings and then approved by Daniel
-
Implement pre-established corporate operating procedures;
-
Negotiate best prices and terms and conditions, and issue purchase orders;
-
Ensure proactive organization and monitoring of equipment delivery schedules;
-
Coordinate alternatives with internal and external project team;
-
Maintain project cost tracking reports;
-
Be involved in the contract change orders process as to its impact on equipment purchases and deliveries.

Coordinate with project managers and estimators to support them in their cost estimates and monitoring;
-
Perform any other related tasks to meet your long-term goals.

Manage relationships with suppliers, evaluate their performance and performance indicators and (risk management) tools
-
Perform an initial evaluation of suppliers as quality and performance to provide equipment, materials.
-
Identify, evaluate, recommend and participate in development in accordance with the procurement policy.
-
Collaborate and support the company’s other departments in the development of new products, according to project deadlines.

Represent the company to suppliers
-
Actively participate in the development of training programs for different troops and air as a trainer
-
Collaborate in establishing an inventory
-
Maintains accurate and up-to-date documentation of purchases, contracts, payments and other aspects related to vendor management.
Profile and skills we are looking for
-
DEC in Building Engineering or other relevant training;
-
Minimum of 10 years of experience in purchasing;
-
Experience in the building engineering industry;
-
In-depth knowledge of procurement procedures, industry standards and best practices for the purchase of materials and equipment.

Mastery of the MS Office suite;
-
Bilingual (English and French);
-
Good organizational and priority management skills;
-
Ease of negotiation and problem solving
-
Strong project management skills including budget and schedule management
