Here is what a typical day looks like

  • Support the planning, coordination, and execution of internal meetings and employee events, including communications support, scheduling, logistics coordination, and follow-up.
  • Provide content support and execution of the internal bi-weekly employee newsletter, along with other communications as assigned.
  • Support content updates and document maintenance on the WestConnect intranet, ensuring information is current, accurate, and aligned with brand standards.
  • Monitor, triage, and execute requests from the Internal Communications mailbox in line with established service guidelines.
  • Support the measurement and evaluation of internal communications campaigns and events using tools such as Google Analytics and Staffbase or Bananatag.
  • Assist with post-event feedback collection and summary insights to inform future improvements and support reporting to stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the team’s reputation as a trusted partner by collaborating closely with stakeholders and business leaders across the organisation.

The value you bring

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to grammar, copywriting, and proofreading.
  • Proven experience in corporate communications, preferably with a focus on internal communications and employee engagement.
  • Post-secondary education in Communications or a related field, with a solid understanding of communications principles and best practices.
  • Experience or a passion for supporting internal meetings or events, including coordination, communications, or logistics, is considered an asset.
  • A relationship builder who can work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization and build trust through professionalism, confidence, and reliability.
  • A self-starter and continuous learner who takes initiative and looks for opportunities to improve processes, templates, and ways of working.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • A consistent focus on quality, accuracy, and follow-through.
  • Tech savvy with the ability to learn new platforms quickly.
