About the role
This is more than selling equipment; it is about owning a territory and growing it. As an Equipment Sales Representative, you’ll drive new equipment sales by building trusted customer relationships, delivering smart solutions, and expanding our presence with government and municipal partners.
Work Location: Winnipeg, MB; Saskatoon, SK; or Regina, SK.
Salary: $40,000 annually plus commission, with a fist-year earnings guarantee of $75,000 (base salary + guaranteed commission).
This role requires frequent travel within your assigned territory.
What You'll Do
- Build strong customer relationships through regular visits, clear communication, and a focus on their needs.
- Manage your schedule and pipeline to meet deadlines and deliver on commitments.
- Track market trends and work with the Sales/Operations Manager to set targets and shape strategy.
- Proactively generate leads, make cold calls, and close sales in your territory.
- Prepare quotes and collaborate with the GM of Sales to align pricing and terms.
- Maintain accurate records of customer data and sales activity in the CRM.
What You Bring
The ideal candidate will have prior sales experience and/or experience serving customers in the heavy equipment industry. Other requirements include:
- Experience selling to government/municipal customers a definite asset
- Familiar with a wide range of construction equipment and able to recommend appropriate solutions
- Confident in cold calling, building new business, and managing a busy schedule with competing priorities
- Proficient in CRM systems, quoting tools, and Microsoft Office, with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and willing to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory
