About the role
The Packaging & Deliveries Assistant plays a key role in supporting both the Production and Sales teams at Old Yale Brewing. This position is responsible for supporting brewery production through operating the packaging line, sanitation and equipment cleaning, deliveries to key accounts, providing assistance with preparing and organizing orders for delivery, ensuring accurate stacking and wrapping of products, and packaging tasks such as labeling bottles and cans.
The ideal candidate is a team player who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and is comfortable handling both logistics and warehouse duties. This position involves physical labor, including lifting, moving, and organizing products and equipment.
This is a temporary, part-time oportuntity to start (April-September 2026 working 16-24 hours per week) but it has the potential to become a full-time and/or permanent position.
This position will report to the Brewmaster, Outside Sales Manager, and alternatively the Managing Partner from time to time.
ResponsibilitiesProduction and Packaging
-
Operate and maintain the canning line and auxiliary equipment.
-
Clean and sanitize all brewing equipment and production areas, maintaining a safe and hygienic work environment.

Aid packaging operations with various tasks, such as:
-
cleaning and racking kegs;
-
topping and stacking cans while cleaning;
-
assisting with tank cleaning; and
-
wrapping pallets.
Warehouse and Deliveries
-
Transport, deliver, and pick up full/empty products to key accounts.
-
Prepare and organize daily orders by accurately reading picking slips, stacking, wrapping, and staging products for scheduled pick-up times.

Assist in managing product placement on shelves, setting up displays, and ensuring proper execution of shelf-facing promotions as directed by the Company.

Maintain product merchandising by ensuring displays are organized, visually appealing, and properly stocked whenever possible.

Assist with rotating stock using the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) method, ensuring products are organized, tidy, and properly maintained.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouses.

Assist with planning and printing delivery routes.

Maintain delivery logs and invoices.
Other

Roll up your sleeves and do what’s necessary to get the job done and complete other various duties as required within the same scope and level.
Qualifications
-
Experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or customer service. Must have the ability to establish and maintain positive relationships.

Experience in the craft beer or beverage distribution industry preferred.

Have a great understanding and collaborative approach when it comes to problem solving.

Be confident and comfortable operating a variety of vehicles of various size, up to and including 5 Ton truck (no air brakes required).

Valid driver’s license with no limitations / restrictions. Must be able to provide a recent copy of an MVR (driver’s abstract).

Ability to lift and carry up to 140 lbs regularly and work in a physically demanding environment.

Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively.

Demonstrated ability to analyze, problem solve, develop an action plan, and implement the plan.

Must have strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
