About the role

About Us Trexo Robotics is enabling mobility by building powered wearable robots. Our first product is a robot for children with movement disorders such as Cerebral Palsy, and it allows kids to walk, in many cases, for the first time in their lives. The device is currently being used by hundreds of families and the best hospitals across North America.

About The Job We are looking for a curious and motivated Talent Acquisition Specialist. In this role, you will manage end-to-end recruitment, from understanding team needs to sourcing, interviewing, and helping us hire exceptional talent. You will also contribute to building a strong candidate pipeline and ensuring a positive candidate experience, while working closely with hiring managers and HR Partner.

This position is hybrid. (3 days in our office in Mississauga)

About You You want to work in a small team solving a big problem. You are passionate about designing and building products. You are excited by the prospect of revolutionizing multiple industries. You can juggle many tasks simultaneously. You are detail-oriented and love asking why many times till you understand something from first principles.

What you'll do: Talent Acquisition (80%)

  • Source and hire candidates across all functions, including business, engineering, and manufacturing teams.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of outbound candidates for high-priority roles (primarily engineering and leadership positions).
  • Screen and evaluate candidates for technical skills, cultural fit, and alignment with company values.
  • Research companies, organizations, websites, and community groups to identify potential candidate leads.
  • Draft and publish engaging job postings.
  • Improve our careers page and enhance employer branding content on our website to attract top talent.
  • Maintain our ATS (Ashby), developing hiring matrix and customized interview feedback forms.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for candidates, ensuring an excellent experience throughout the interview process.

Office and HR support (20%)

  • Assist with onboarding new hires.
  • Serve as point person for management of our Mississauga office, maintaining a well-equipped, organized, productive, and welcoming workspace.
  • Coordinate office logistics including team events, supplies, equipment, office improvement initiatives, and meeting support.
  • Occasionally support other People and Culture project.

Required Skills And Experience

  • Min. 2 years of experience managing recruitment projects, ideally as an in-house recruiter in a growing start-up.
  • Strong hands-on experience with sourcing across platforms (LinkedIn, job boards, social media, professional communities).
  • Tech-savvy, with good knowledge of Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets) and Notion.
  • Good understanding of talent acquisition metrics, reporting, and tracking.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Passion for helping people and building teams that make a difference.

Nice to Have

  • Experience hiring for engineering roles.
  • Experience hiring for manufacturing roles.
  • Familiarity with Ashby (ATS) and Humi (HRIS).
