We are currently recruiting for a detail orientated, organized individual who is self-motivated and goal oriented to fill the position of Vineyard Supervisor based out of our Viticulture Office located in Oliver, BC. A Vineyard Supervisor assists in day-to-day management of vineyard operations to ensure production of the highest quality fruit in the most economic fashion. The supervisor leads a team of viticulture professionals who operate a range of vineyard equipment including tractors, mowers, hedgers, fungicide/herbicide sprayers, leaf removers and mechanical harvesters. Under the direction of the vineyard manager they implement strategic vineyard plans.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Ensure all vineyard duties are completed in a timely and optimal manner as directed
  • Competency training and development of all Vineyard employees
  • Performance coaching of Vineyard employees
  • Ensure all vineyard plans are achieved within required budget levels
  • Promote and ensure compliance with HR Policies & Procedures and OH&S guidelines

Job Requirements

  • Minimum grade 12
  • 3-5 years of hands on vineyard leadership experience
  • Prior experience in a supervisory or management role in a vineyard producing premium quality fruit
  • Pesticide Applicators Certificate
  • Fluency in English verbal/written

Working Conditions

  • Indoor/Outdoor exposed to varying terrain, temperatures and weather conditions
  • Exposure to chemicals
  • Requirement to lift up to 50lbs

Compensation : Budgeted Range – $58,515.00 - $75,725.00

The budgeted range takes into account several factors and qualifications that are considered in making compensation decisions including experience, education, training, licenses, certifications, and other business and organizational requirements. Base pay is only one component of the total rewards offering at Arterra.
