This role is essential to ensuring the safety and well-being of patients, staff, and visitors in a hospital environment.
We’re looking for individuals who are calm under pressure, excellent communicators, and dedicated to maintaining a safe, respectful environment within healthcare facilities.
Responsibilities
- Patrol Hospital Grounds: Conduct regular rounds across hospital premises, including parking lots, hallways, patient areas, and entry/exit points.
- Monitor Surveillance Systems: Operate cameras and alarm systems, reporting suspicious activity promptly.
- Access Control: Ensure only authorized personnel enter restricted areas and maintain visitor logs.
- Respond to Emergencies: React swiftly to medical emergencies, alarms, and security incidents; assist with evacuations when required.
- Provide Customer Service: Greet and assist patients, staff, and visitors while ensuring hospital policies are followed.
- Conflict Resolution: De-escalate tense situations professionally and respectfully.
- Report Writing: Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and safety concerns.
- Collaborate with Staff: Work closely with hospital teams and local law enforcement to maintain a coordinated security presence.
- Policy Enforcement: Support hospital policies and uphold safety standards at all times.
Requirements

Clear criminal background check with vulnerable sector clearance.

Valid First Aid & CPR – Level C certification (from a CSA-approved vendor).

Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.

English fluency (oral and written).

Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.

Certification in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) required.

Candidates without these certifications may complete Paladin’s UOF/MOAB program prior to onboarding.

Training is unpaid but fully covered by Paladin, with a 6-month employment commitment following completion.
