ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skill and Experience)
- Active registration with ARMS, CMRTO, Sonography Canada
- Graduate of CMA accredited school of Ultrasonography
- Must be familiar with quality management, quality control
- Computer skills required with PACS experience
- Additional certification at RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) preferred
- Satisfactory attendance and positive attitude

Competent in abdominal, gynecological, small parts, obstetrics, breast, transvaginal, MSK, pediatric (hips, pylorus), assist with Biopsies and special procedures

ACCOUNTABILITIES (Major Responsibilities of the Position)
- Under general direction of the Charge Technologist, Diagnostic Imaging Manager or Medical Director
- The Sonographer is responsible for accurately and efficiently performing routine imaging with a high degree of optimization
- Operate instruments as designed precisely and safely
- Provide supporting history documentation for the Radiologist
- Perform troubleshooting when necessary
- Work and travel between Chatham and Wallaceburg sites
- Participates in departmental continuing education
- Assist Radiologist during Biopsy procedures
